Introduction
A arms bazaar in the middle of the most shocking massacre of the Gazan people and the attacks on neighbouring countries is the most tactless and offensive event that can be pushed onto the people of Australia and particularly the citizens of NSW.
The UN report called From economy of occupation to economy of genocide, authored by Francesca Albanese states that ‘Israeli and international weapons manufacturers have developed increasingly effective systems to drive Palestinians off their land.’ She then goes on to name specific companies that are profiteering from the Genocide. These are: Elbit Systems, Lockheed Martin (F35’s), Leonardo S.p.A, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), Boeing, BAE systems, Northrop Grumman these companies will be at the Indo Pacific Expo with no obstacle to their attendance or displays.
We call on all our members and supporters to write to both the Federal Government (the PM and Foreign Minister) and NSW Government (Premier Minns). We are extending this call wider to than to just our people in NSW. It is time for all Australians to act. First, we need to communicate our disgust to the key people involved in this event, but we will probably need to organise a more direct action such as a demonstration outside that event.

Re: Indo Pacific Expo
We are incensed that you and your government can be so tactless as to hold an exhibition for the very companies that assisted in the destruction of Gaza and surrounding countries. These merchants of death, profiteers of genocide and war privateers are welcome to this country despite the tide of Australia’s revulsion at the killing and starvation inflicted on the people of Gaza.
The march across the Bridge which heralded a huge increase in the numbers of people demonstrating, indicate the depth of feeling about the horror of Israel’s actions. It is estimated that countries representing 95% of the world’s population have called on Israel to cease its attacks on Gaza and other places. Yet this overwhelming fact seems to have alluded you.

The above companies and many others are simply the producers of misery and death, the churners of rubble and the people benefitting from inflicting gruesome injuries and death on many thousands leaving the survivors with lifelong maiming or psychological damage. We call on you to cancel the Expo in support of peace and justice for Palestinians. Take a stand for humanity and stop pretending that you are concerned about the cruelty inflicted by Israel.

Why are you sponsoring an event for the merchants of genocide?
Given the starvation and the relentless bombardment of the defenceless people Gaza and the horror that a vast majority of the people of NSW feel about the cruelty of Israel how can you sponsor an event for the merchants of genocide?
How can you be so tactless and unconcerned when you could make a stand for humanity and take your sponsorship of the Indo Pacific Expo away?

We call on you to remove the NSW Government sponsorship of the Indo-Pacific Expo due to be held 4-6 November this year. The NSW Government should have nothing to do with those who profit from genocide, these merchants of death, these promoters of misery and rubble who have left 179,000 men, women and children dead or with lifelong physical injuries, or psychological trauma. Act for humanity as the Bridge march asked and remove all sponsorship of the Expo.
