ANTI-BASES NEWS:
Preparations are in full swing for the October demonstration at Pine Gap.
In all States, energy is growing, buses are being organised, and the peace action is being publicized through leafleting and meetings.
We have mailed out over 26,000 full colour leaflets around country and have prepared posters for the event. These have been made available to all participating groups free of charge as an Anti-Bases Campaign Coalition contribution to the campaign.
A national phone hook-up of the organising group on 11 June dealt with a number of matters including permission to enter their land from the traditional owners, the timetable of actions, a Handbook for participants, non-violence principles, and medical and legal matters.
There will be another link up to finalise these matters in late August.
We are excited by the responses we are getting and are confident that the movement is growing.

Dates: Departs Sydney on Wednesday, 2. Arrives Alice Springs on Friday, 4 October (evening). Departs Alice Springs on Monday, 7 October (noon). Travels express (32 hours), arriving in Sydney on Tuesday, 8 October (evening)

Route: via Broken Hill and Coober Pedy (outward trip).

Cost includes: Cooked breakfasts and dinners (except during express return), all travel, tents and groundsheets, camping fees, cook, transfers to Pine Gap and GST.

How to pay: Deposit of $100 must be paid by Monday, 22 September ($50 non-returnable). Full payment must be completed by Monday, 29 September. Please makes cheques payable to AABCC and send to PO Box A899, Sydney South NSW 1235
