The US-Australian Military Alliance which was signed in 1950 is based on the ANZUS treaty. These arrangements have led Australia into US wars from the Korean, the Vietnam, and later wars in the Middle East in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. Australia also is totally dependent on US weapons systems and intelligence because of the alliance. We aim to make Australia an independent and non-aligned country.
